As an employer it is not mandatory to pay out travel costs to an employee, but when you have reached an agreement with the company you work for, Kolibrie can make sure this will be paid out to you.

There are two options when it comes to processing travel costs:  travel costs based on the amount of kilometers you travel to work, or based on public transport.

To be able to process travel costs based on kilometers, Kolibrie calculates the amount of kilometers between the home address  of the employee  and the wok address. Based on this amount of kilometers, we can pay out a maximum of €0,19 per kilometer. For example, when you travel 20 kilometers a day to go to work and back home again, you'll receive a maximum amount of travel costs of €3,80 a day. Kolibrie will process this amount of travel costs on each day you have worked. You can also find the travel costs on your payslip once they have been paid out to you.

To be able to process travel costs based on public transport, we need a substantiation for the Belastingdienst (the Dutch tax authorities). This can be an overview of your Dutch 'Ov-chipkaart' or for example a train ticket. You can also find the travel costs on your payslip once they have been paid out to you.
